9th Annual Westside Challenge to Beat Breast Cancer

The 9th annual Westside Challenge to Beat Breast Cancer will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at Straus Clubhouse at the Los Angeles Tennis Center, located on the campus of UCLA. All proceeds from the event will benefit the low-cost mammography program at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center.

A 50-game round-robin tennis marathon will be held from noon to 3:30 p.m., followed by a reception and silent auction from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tickets to the reception and Silent Auction are $35 per person. Guests are also welcome to attend the round-robin tennis marathon at no charge. 

A fundraiser to provide low-cost mammography screenings and educational programs for women, the annual Westside Challenge to Beat Breast Cancer was established at Santa Monica-UCLA Medical Center nine years ago by breast cancer survivor Nina Nisenholtz.
